After attending a few car shows, my daughter and son wanted a second car they could share, so they wouldn't have to drive their Trans Am or GTO to work or school. Those two cars turned out to be to nice for everyday driving. It would just be too hard to see them all full of door dings and scratches. Again turning to eBay, we found this mint, stock 1988 Fiero GT, with 53K in June of 2005. I remember when the Fiero first came out and test driving them while part of the Trans Am Club. The 1988 GT was the only car to have the special Lotus suspension package, so that was the year they wanted. My kids flew up to Colorado in June, and drive it back home, with no problems. Everything works, including the A/C that they used driving back home. It was over 100 degrees in Las Vegas on the drive home.
Funny side note, this car also turned out to be too nice to be a daily driver. My son takes it to work about once every two weeks, the rest of the time on the road is spent going to car shows, car cruises, or just fun drives. The search for daily driver cars continues.

19th Annual SCC POCI Fuddruckers Show

In El Toro California
We were able to take four cars to this show, since it was closer to home. I took my new 1969 Firebird 400 convertible, and my 1985 Trans Am convertible. My son took his 2000 NHRA Trans Am, and my daughter took the 1988 Fiero GT. We took a 2nd place with the Fiero, and 3rd with the 85 Trans Am.
