1969 Firebird 400 Convertible
One of my original cars back in the late 70's and early 80's was a green 1969 Firebird 350 Convertible. I have some pictures of it here on my site. It was a very stock, very low optioned car. It had a manual top, base hub caps, and 4 wheel drum brakes. But I still liked that car, the way the engine smelled, the power, the fresh air, etc. I had wanted one a few years ago, but I was not able to afford it at the time. I ended up with the red 1969 400 shown on my site. It is such a great car, I didn't want to sell it for a convertible. But I knew someday I would have the money to get that 400 convertible. Someday came when I found this car online in April of 2007. It was a great blue color, and highly optioned. I called the owner right away. He said all the right things to me. Numbers matching, no rust any where, and the car came from Southern California originally. Two days later I had paid for it, and 14 days later it had been trucked to me, and was resting in my garage next to the other Firebird 400. This one is the top of the line, with the 400 Motor, Power disc brakes, power windows, power antenna, rally II rims, deluxe interior, working A/C and Power top. The options continue with the handling package, Heavy Duty air cleaner, hood tack, remote mirror, tilt steering, and center console. This will be a show car after we clean, polish, and replace a few trim items. I have several items in our garage for this car. Including a replica battery, wires, hoses, clamps, and other items to make this car look 100 percent original. Interesting side note on this car, it was delivered to the same dealership here in Southern California as my other Firebird. What are the chances of that!!! One in a million is my guess.
Cleaned up, and ready to roll. Came out very nice. I was impressed.
