1969 Firebird 400 Hardtop

After a few short months with my 1979, I also wanted one of the early Firebirds.  I had two 1969 convertibles the first time around, both with the 350 engine.  I really wanted a 400 this time, but the price on the 400 convertibles was way out of my price range.  So I just looked, and then I saw this one.  All stock, numbers matching, with 88K original miles.  It was rust free, and came originally from California, before going to Kentucky to a car collector.  Black over Matador Red, it includes several desirable options, like deluxe interior, A/C, power brakes, windows, and antenna, and rally 2 wheels.  My favorite part is the bench seat.  It makes getting in and out so easy for me.  The car rides greats, the engine smells great, and it is very fast.  Here are the original pictures posted on the site for sale.

This is not a restored car.  These are the photos I was sent when I was going to buy this car.  Look at the underside here, and just try and find rust.  It even has the dual muffler system still in tact.  The two regular muffler coming from the pipes, leading to a larger single one by the gas tank.  This car is like a sleeper, so quite, yet when you step on it, the tires burn, even as it shifts into second gear.  I had never had that happen to me in an automatic car.

Here is the first car show when the car arrives in 2005.  I learned a lot about these cars during the early shows.  Some of these cars had original parts, or new parts made to meet original specifications.  I plan to so the same with this over the next few years.  I already have a reproduction battery, hoses, clamps, lug nuts, and just about every thing needed to make this great car showroom original.
